I installed PowerPivot for Excel 2010 and ran some queries from the Dynamics GP database to pull YTD Transactions and Budget information. It is really easy to use and to pull information. I created some new views of the GP data to make it easier to pull the data. This is a revolutionary product that will save me time from pulling lists and mining data for staff. This will allow the staff to drill down to the information they need using the interface that they love (Excel).
I am able to connect to multiple data sources as well as reports to get the data I need. Next step is to attach it to SharePoint 2010.
